Since day one of the full scale russian war against Ukraine, on February 24th 2022, the Ukrainian people and their supporters have organized rallies, demonstrations, cultural events, and fundraisers in Paris and in many french cities to resist, protest, communicate and raise awareness about the situation in Ukraine and the war crimes committed by the Russians, and thus promote and protect their culture and history.
These photos document three years of rallies and events during which Ukrainians settled in Paris, joined by refugees and supporters of various nationalities and backgrounds. Many of these people had mobilized many years before, in 2014, when russia started the war against Ukraine with its invasion of eastern Oblasts and with the annexion of Crimea.
